My mk1 Cav is running a Weber 32/36 DGAV,been running rough so stripped it all down, cleaned, replaced all the jets.
Tickover is fine but once over 2000rpm what I can only describe as the sound of the exhaust coming out of the cards?!?!
The car is well done on power to.Any advice much appreciated.

Sounds fine to me? Carbs are supposed to make noise.

OE air filters housing act as intake silencers as well as filtering air. If you have an aftermarket filter, such as K&N, then the intake "roar" will be more noticeable

Prob the 2nd choke just opening a little bit causing a lot of air noise through a restricted opening
