Thought it might be worth starting a thread for any delays/roadworks that might occur on people's travels so ..
..A1M - it's Leeds Fest weekend so it'll be absolutely rammed both directions around Wetherby all weekend for those coming from the North. Might be worth swinging off the A1 further North and dropping down on the A61 or A19 then back across below Leeds.

^ good idea! Having just done the Tyneside - Midlands (A1-M18-M1) run, it was happily not bad* Barton has a 50mph limit for 15miles/18minutes (or vice-versa) Lots of "incident ahead - 50mph" limits, with *no* incident or problem Lots of signs for Leeds festival (and plently of happy campers in services, stocked with tents & crates of booze), but no traffic issues. Otherwise, just cruise down at your own speed, see you there * "Not bad" does not include lots of 50mph folk cruising in the middle lane with an empty lane on their left, or my suspect headgasket failure & regular pit-stops at services for water

M5 from the end of the M42 to Droitwich ( I think it's from 4 to 5 ), 50 mph due to motorway upgrades so watch out for the average speed cameras folks.

I shall be taking the more scenic A road route through Stratford etc. Last year we met some delays on the M42/M5 section mid Friday afternoon just due to the Friday afternoon knocking off
