	Hi guys, Has anyone had any success repairing a tyre with a screw in the sidewall. I have had a screw go into the edge of a new yoko. I know you cant put the patches on and the legality of fixing tyres with side wall damage but has anyone had any long term sucess with the likes of tyre weld or anything. Regards Tom

	If the screw is in the sidewall then the flexing means it can't be safely repaired. Not worth the risk for the price of a tyre.

	Ignoring the nuns and kittens will die aspect, There's a thread on here about having a side wall puncture repaired and the process required, maybe vulcanisation?, it was mainly aimed at mega expensive commercial tyres. Tyre weld, Finnilec etc are just get you home fixes, slime and seal a wheel also recommend you have any punctures fixed properly when you notice them. Heat build up might be an issue if it's a low profile Edit got it - look up hot vulcanisation major tyre repair to find somewhere near you.
