This Honda Integra Type R has been off the road for a while, stored away gathering dust.
The owner is taking it to the Retro Rides gathering at the end of August and wanted it freshened up for the event.
I know what you're thinking... it's not a retro car. I thought that too until I was reminded that it's 15 years old now. The DC5 shape has really stood the test of time in my eyes.
On arival the car had very badly ingraned dirt all over it.
Faded headlights
Some Japanese artifacts inside
First up, the wheels were cleaned using Auto Finesse Imperial, with Verso used on the tyres and inner arches.
ODK Arctic snow foam was used to soften the surface dirt and grime.
Worked into the window rubbers, badges and trims with a few detailing brushes and Auto Finesse Verso.
The car was filthy with lots of heavy dirt so a strong wash of Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash & Gloss was used to break down as much as possible during the contact wash.
The car was carefully washed, rinsed, loosely dried and the tar and fallout was removed.
Auto Finesse Iron Out pulling loads out of the paintwork!
The entire car was then clayed using a clay cloth and the Chemical guy's shampoo mix.
Inside it was looking much better already.
The paintwork was very dull.
After machine polishing, the clarity was coming back.

The engine bay had a quick once over using Verso, Dressle and Bouncer's QD for the exposed metal areas.
The car was protected using G|techniq C1.5, topped with Bouncer's Capture the Rapture.
The interior was steam cleaned and Verso used for tougher stains.
The plastics were dressed with Auto Finesse Revive.
Tyres with Gyeon Tire.
Wheels protected with G|techniq C1.5.
