Just looking at car ramps or lifts to do work under the car and found these www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291819895848 Has anyone got these? Or similar? They should safe enough to work on the car while under it, as long there in flat stable ground. Cheers.

They look good, but i can't see them being much more useful than a pair of single axle ramps for most tasks that don't require wheel removal. If you buy two pairs you can lift the other end with a high-lift jack and have one under all four corners. You won't get the hight i suppose, but it'd save you £400..

This is one of the problems I've found with my low Corsair. Yes you can use two sets of normal ramps or axle stands, but I found I cant get a jack under the other end once the first is up on the ramp because of the body overhang. It is a long reach jack, so I've resorted to faffing about with driving onto blocks of wood first then jacking up opposite end effectively doing it in stages. It is a real pain, as due to health issues I struggle to keep getting up and down off the floor anyway. So I too had been looking at those display ramps. But for me its just the storing of the thing and justifying the cost over a bit of inconvenience on odd occasions. Its not like you need them everyday or at least I hope not.

It's not just the cost but the fact this has to be stored somewhere when not in use & is going to take up a lot of space.
Pricier again but is it worth considering putting a pit in your garage?

Cheers. I mainly want to be able get under the car easier for cleaning painting etc.
I've git a bit of space to store them, but I do need a new garage so will get some quotes for a pit or even get a lift in it.

I have the blue scissor lift as per the eBay link. I bought it second hand from here and it's really good. It can be dismantled for storage so doesn't take up too much room but it is rather large when assembled. I'm not too sure about the one in the link but mine has a big winding handle to raise and lower so that also takes up quite a lot of space. Getting the balancing point correct takes a bit of practice depending if you're raising the front and back. I'll find some pictures to give you an idea on the height you get out of it.

After a lot of mucking about with standard ramps, scissor ones that lift, etc... I've fianlly got a set of these, and love them: www.amazon.co.uk/Car-Ramps-ton-Clearance-Wide/dp/B005BPHDQICan get my lowered Capri on them fine, and nice and stable. Two sets, and you could get the whole lot of the ground (of just use one at the front/one at the back and work on one side at a time.

I think one of my best ebay finds was a pair of jack up / adjustable drive on ramps I hadn't seen them before they wind down reasonable flatish for lowered cars and wind up much more than high enough for any work that involves me being underneath. just like a pair of ramps and a scissor jack had a baby.... there are some similar on ebay at the moment I cant do links but listed as....
HEAVY DUTY ADJUSTABLE/RAISABLE CAR RAMPS-SCREW TYPE
mine are not exactly the same as mine are a much older so hunt around for different styles but I am very pleased with mine.
