And if so, how do you keep it a secret and what have you got?
I'm looking at a little bobby dazzler atm but would probably have to tell the missus about it and endure the rolling of eyes and nashing of teeth.

Not got anything she doesn't know about but I've bought a few in the past and not told her until they've arrived.
To be honest she's quite good and doesn't mind what I buy as long as most of it stays at the yard and only one comes home at a time.

Yeah had a few. She doesn't know about them because most of the time she couldn't care less!
The ones she knows about I have at home, the ones she doesn't aren't at home.

My work mate has a fwd Toyota GTi Twincam that his other half knows nothing about. He doesn't get to use it often and keeps it in a lock up
I don't have room for any more cars but have been on the look out for 2 particular bikes that'll be kept out of sight and mind Hopefully I'll find a early K reg Honda CB250 a no a Kawasaki KE125 circa 1980

I have a 100% rust free BMW e34 hidden in the shed. It needs a new engine. I will not get it out till I have the engine I want.

I still have the car Mrs Pistonpopper asked me to get rid of when she got knocked up with our first daughter, she's eleven now! Funny thing is that Me, and our two Pistonpoppets have even been out in it, and mrs Pistonpopper is still none the wiser! But to be fair to her, she actually wouldn't mind, or atleast, she doesn't mind the rest of the cars we have, or for that matter the motorbikes. And speaking of motorbikes. When i was younger i had a motorbike that my folks didn't know about. Then one day i passed my folks while i was on it. Later that day my Dad asked me how long i had had the motorbike, and i said about two years why? He said that he had his own motorbike for about two years before his folks found out he had one! I'm expecting to find out my girls have motorbikes around about the time they turn 19, and that they've had them for a couple of years lol!

Not me personally but I know a guy who . . .
He was my Dad's mate, who for the sake of anonymity I'll call John Smith. John was a regular at car shows, often with his mint early Zephyr or Zodiacs but used to turn up in all sorts. I got talking to his wife at a show & asked her how many cars he actually had, she said, "I dread to think, he hides them from me, I think he's probably got 20 or 30 by now!" I got talking to John a little later & asked him how many cars he had, volunteering that his wife thought it might be as many as 30. He told me that he actually had over 70 cars !!! He was leasing a disused Cinema to house a lot of them & had about 20 MG Magnettes parked up in a mates scrapyard. Some time after that I heard that he'd bought an old Army barracks with drill yard, presumably to cram full of even more cars.

I used to keep a mini at my mum and dads, just because we didn't have room at home with my other 3 cars. One day whilst we're there, my gf asks "what's under the cover?"... Erm... That's mine?
LOL!
It lives at home with us now haha.

Over the years I've had loads the wife hasn't known about. Latest was a saab turbo that I bought. Took my daughter to school in for months and part 200 yards from the house. Think I had it for 7 months before she realised it was mine and that was only because I lent a neighbour some tools from the boot while she was talking to his wife.

I have a few she isn't HAPPY about....
Similarly, and as someone here taught me, it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission.
It's also easier to get forgiveness than permission.
Sadly, arrival of a large estate car last year didn't go down well and now I can't spend any time on it as it will cause friction. ..
The arrival of the Manta didn't cause any trouble, the lack of its departure could spell disaster.

I dropped my dad in it once, he had been buying a few bits for his xk8 a few years ago, one being a rather pricey exhaust system. He said to my mum when she noticed it that they were new chrome tips he got on eBay and screwed on. I mentioned something about it, not knowing that he spun a yarn of eBay tips, long story short she found out it was a bit more than a couple of £9.99 exhaust tips and hit the roof.

I don't at the moment but I had to do some inventive reasoning for my last purchase (£150 106 quicksilver to use for parts for the other 106). However I haven't told her that by the end of the week I might end up with 3 more Ax's, a Saxo and a car trailer........ that's going to take some explaining........

Nearly did exactly this yesterday whilst out for dinner with my aunt and uncle. My uncle, an avid fan of classic jaguars had been talking to me about the possibility of getting a S2 XJ12 that has been sat in a garage for 15 years. Foolishly I may have mentioned something about it before very quickly being told by my uncle in a very direct way to shut up. Message received loud and clear, almost dropped him in it.

My better half knows about the other car in my life and as someone else said earlier she tolerates it but sure ain't happy about it. Over time it's almost led to a parting of the ways Question was... It's the car or me Reply was... I ain't selling the car so now it's your call I personally haven't got any hidden cars but have somehow managed to fill a double garage with loft from the contents of a single garage. eBay purchases just appear lol
