Today I recorded my first show coverage Vlog, I chatted about where I was going, did a few bits to camera at the event about stuff I was looking at as well as filming the cars as I wandered around, and then a few minutes talk after the show of what I thought of it. I got home and edited all the usable bits together. Turns out the microphone on the GoPro is terrible at picking up any noise that isn't right next to it. No worries, learned for next time (which will be Le Mans Classic). Anyway, I hope to do more of these (how they are intended to be!), as it was suggested by rmad I'm hopefully he'll do some too

I was at the Bath Festival of Motoring on Saturday, quite a few cars were there as well (or their doppelgangers!). Love the orange Datsun 240Z that also made an appearance in Bath.

Love it! Been living in Bath for 2 years now and somehow managed to miss all this exotica! Not a clue how though!

Somerset has a bunch of cool cars rolling around, is always a treat to see them. I like that the Bristol Classic Car Show is an hour away from Bristol, at the Bath and West Showgrounds, an hour away from Bath. Then again Glastonbury Festival is half hour away from Glastonbury ... must be a local thing. I did observe this in the lost audio...

Nice stuff indeed, although I'm beginning to feel the need for a show dedicated to the slightly worn daily, don't think I've ever owned a pristine show car. I suppose this is where you mention the gathering, but I am always working that weekend. Anyhoos, thanks for the vlog, is that you singing then? But then there is always the carpark outside.

Same weekend also had a classic car show at Tyntesfield, much closer to both Bristol and Bath than the Bristol Classic Show (and a bit smaller maybe).

Nice video, a nice range of cars in all conditions. If you want to do this more i'd suggest not using the youtube auto stabilization. You might get a bit more of a shakey video but it feels much more natural to watch than the wobbly bits you get from youtubes editing.
Maybe make something like this from spares in the shed to help filming

I think I'm going to get a hand held gimball for my GoPro, and maybe a Figgis wheel for my DLSR

Berkeley castle show was on the Sunday too, made the trip down but it lashed it down on arrival and a lot packed up and left before the end.Been to the Bath and West before and likewise no idea why they call it a Bristol show, good 30 miles away.
