Here's some of my photos from a local Volkswagen show, a weekend event but I only went on the Sunday. A wide variety of cars, from traditional Campers and Beetles modded in every possible way, to newer models slammed to the floor. There was something for everyone.
Starting with an awesome VW Beetle based Rat Rod thing
A nice looking Beetle with subtle mods
Which contrasts nicely with this berserk bay pickup
A nicely done Type 2
A few detail shots from various campers
A very well done splitty
There were a few non-VW's on show, such as this awesome Chevy.
This immaculate Honda CRX Del Sol on Hydraulics.
This Nissan Silvia, a tribute to it's original owner after he died of cancer, built by his friends.
And this cool Ford Thunderbird
A browse through the Autojumble always brings up some gems, and this was no different. These vintage 7UP Bottles caught my eye
These Porsche? wheels also sparked my interest
Polo sitting nicely
Yet another flawless camper
A Mk4 Golf on Bentley wheels, with one of the most insane sound systems there
Which was only trumped by the sound system in this Beetle, which was absolutely incredible. I felt sorry for the owner when some dimwit decided to close the boot and scratch her paintwork. She wasn't best pleased
A fantastically well done Mk1 Scirocco, one of my faves of the show
More campers
A tasty Mk1 Golf Cabriolet
Time for some more Beetles
Possibly my favourite Beetle was this green one. It looked so right
Some other less common VW's
A rather nice Karmann Ghia
And my favourite camper of the day was this green Type 2, flawless in every way
A couple of rows of campers
A meaty looking Lupo slammed to the floor
Another Mk4 Golf, this time on 3SDM's looking good
Very nice looking 6N2 on Hydros with a luscious deep purple paint
Finally we end with 2 Mk1 Polo's. Firstly this yellow one which was sitting pretty on BBS's
And finally this green one, which was my favourite car of the entire show. It was immaculate, with a stunning set of wheels I've never seen before, and the details were jaw dropping, right down to the colour coded AA badge.
