Got a new project in the pipe line in the form of a 4 door Mk2 Escort.
Now here's the twist, the previous owner has fitted a wide arch xpack kit with an RS2000 front end.
The front looks really good, however i'm not quite sure what to with the rear?
The xpack rear arches have been cut and fitted but it needs taking off and refitting.....crunch question is do I take it all off and just keep it as an RS rep with standard arches?
Or go for a 4 door xpack rs rep??
I've got Sebring MGB so would love a pair wide arch's and the escort being the practical one with 4 doors?!?
Feel free to try and persuade me either way?

remove the back door handles, leave the arches as xpack. The 7 1/2 four spokes look good.

I like that idea, smoothing the back doors would make it look a lot cleaner.

Solenoid or interior handles only but if you weld em up it will look odd. Get them gaps down to a hair and it'll look much better.

One thing I wonder is how the inner arches have been done at the back. If they have been cut back a lot like I've seen done on two door cars there might not be much strength in the door opening area.
I would do a full what could have been an X pack 4 door and leave the handles on there although Alfas have no obvious handles on the back doors on some models.

forgive me if I'm wrong but removing the door handles could run into trouble with the MOT or have i got it completely wrong.

forgive me if I'm wrong but removing the door handles could run into trouble with the MOT or have i got it completely wrong. That was my belief as well. Even using black Popular handles (or painting the chrome items) would look OK.
