1989 mk2 Astra
So after almost two years of the resto its nearly time to paint but there is one thing bugging me, and that’s a tatty vin plate that i don't want to put back on the newly painted slam panel.
Been searching the net but just can’t find where i can buy a new plate with Adam ople and made in Germany on it, i even contacted vauxhall uk who pointed me in the direction of Germany but they don’t even reply to emails, the main dealers can’t help and now running out of ideas
Can anyone on here help?
Cheers

Not sure if it's the case for Vauxhalls but they used to be available blank for Honda as a main dealer order, the catch was that there was no part number listed for them so the parts desk actually had to ring and speak to someone to get one, expect to be made to jump through hoops proving it's yours and why you want one. From memory I can't say if the dealers had to have it stamped/ engraved before letting it out

I would imagine you could get one stamped Adam Ople from China, for pukka Adam Opel Germany would be a good start.......
I can't imagine any dealer parts place would supply a blank VIN plate these days however.

If you contact Opel through Bookface, it turns out that they can be really quite helpful.

I've had a bit of success with a French EBay seller that specialises in Vin plates.
From memory, he's based in Brittany, & can supply a fairly extensive range, engraved or not ( engraving adds 3 weeks!) I tracked him down via EBay Fr, but dealt seperately thereafter.
There is also a man in Poland who sells a range of predominantly Eastern bloc stuff, but might have what you need? I traced him thru Google images, looking for a specific Polish vin plate.
Good luck!
