Evening,
I recently took the fuel tank out of my Humber sceptre and cleaned it all out, as it was full of some sort of coating that had started to dissolve.
I put it all back together, fill up with 2 gallons but the gauge read 3 gallons. I put 2 more in and it reads 7!
I was careful not to bend the sender float, and my thoughts are that even if I did, it would over read fairly consistently? Rather than becoming more and more inaccurate as the fuel level increases.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
