Personally I can't see that it's any more than what looks like a 1-series with a body-kit that has no resemblance to a 2002. Concept, yes; homage, no. Not a BMW man but I'd much rather have a 2002 anyday...  |

Have to agree - I was expecting something a little more 'retro' with at least a hint of 2002 styling. Probably a decent enough car in its own right though . . . . .  |

I saw the original homage post and did wish that they'd posted photos of the 2002 alongside it as I didn't think it bared much resemblance either - I wondered if it was a rally-kitted version of the 2002 they based it on rather than the general release version?

I quite like it. The little touches are more of a 'tipped cap' to '70s BMW styling in general than a homage, but that's not a bad thing. Yeah it's a bit OTT but i've missed that over the last couple of decades.

I really like that! I've not been a fan of a lot of recent beemers but that one is bloody lovely! There is definately a few 2002 cues in there, the indicators on the front corners, the sharknose styling and the proportions. Definately not as cool as the 510 concept though!
