i need to fit an immobiliser as i'm running a megasquirt so the stock one isn't there anymore ,bought a cobra 8510 which has two circuits to immobilise, i would have normally used the feed to the fuel pump and the other i would have used is the feed to the coils.
the problem is my car is running coil over plugs which are wired straight from the megasquirt and are wired in pairs so even if i cut one of the wires there it would probably still start but on two plugs, someone suggested the starter wire from the ignition barrel which i would be happy with but the wire looks fairly heavy duty and the wires from the immobiliser are not so I'm worried something might melt if i did it this way.
the only other circuit i can think of is maybe the power wire that feeds the ecu ,anyone any idea if this would be ok or any other suggestions please.
