Evening all. Bit of a guilty self-promotion here, but here goes. I'm a huge fan of short oval racing, and I love to document the cars, action, atmosphere and people. I attend most race meetings at Foxhall Stadium Ipswich. I recently created a website to store and showcase all of my photos and I'm looking for some feedback on the site design and the photos themselves. Any feedback is welcome, would be hugely appreciated if you could just spend a couple of minutes taking a quick look through my photos, and if you have any particular favourite photos please let me know! Cheers guys. lewisadams09.wix.com/ovalracingphotos

They look great, some really nice shots there, you have a good eye I think. I am no photographer so can't really comment from a technical point of view, but from a "laymans" point of view perhaps some more without the colour wash effect might be nice? My computer is grinding along really slowly so I can't see all of them. I'll have a proper look when it's sorted. The site seems well laid out and easy to navigate.
I love classic hot rods, do you get brisca heritage down that way? Looks like you have some great meetings, nice to see full fields of cars.

As another layman (and ex-circuit racer - who takes *far* too many pics of everyday life), it looks great. Content : I'm not a fan of black&white or faded photos, prefer full colour (my personal choice) Good composition, focus (nice depth-of-field?), and the main item is well positioned (not going off the edge of the photo) Technical : it only happened once but when I clicked on "bangers" on page 2 the photo shown was "#44 Kara", I tried again and it worked fine. Gremlins or a bug in the wix code? General observation : the pages all have a footnote "© 2023 by Sarah Lane." - do I get a prize for spotting the deliberate mistake ps. do you have any advice for creating a wix website? I'm looking to do something similar to showcase my work - PM me if you have any tips or links

I really like the vintage, washed out look but I will definitely try more full colour photos. We get Brisca F1 once or twice a year at Foxhall, they're coming again soon, I'll try and make it to that meeting. As said to generallee I really like the washed out look but will definitely play around with more full colour photos. The depth of field the 50mm f/1.8 lens gives me is superb, i love it. I think that would have been a website glitch, I haven't had any issues. The '2023' thing is the original template I used and modified to my liking As for advice - spend a while playing around until you find a design that works for you - the possibilities are endless! I really liked what I ended up with as it is simplistic and modern and nice and uncluttered.

I'm a Kesgrave lad so have grown up with both Stock Cars and the Witches at Foxhall just a short walk from my house. First went in the 70s as a kid, still go quite a bit now - it's become a bit of a Saturday night social.
Know nothing about photography, see the smartphone specials I post, but for me they definitely capture the character of the place. Thumbs up from me, keep up the good work.
