I think my welder is getting a bit tired, its not consistent, and TBH is making working on the car a real chore, the one I have is/was a good welder, (Cebora) I have tried a new lead, but its not made much of a difference, I am thinking its might be time for a new one, I want one with a decent variable range, not just HI/Lo--- 1or2.........Eurotorch....and not a HUGE thing, I don't have much room.

I have an old Murex tradesmig 140, I've had it 20 years and it wasn't new then! Its had a couple of new lances and I replaced the wirefeed rollers once but it still welds a treat. It struggles a bit at over 6mm steel - but there's not much like that on cars so not really a problem!
My advice is, it's better to buy a good make second hand than a cheaper new one. And if all Murex welders are as good as mine has been, I'd recommend them to anyone!
