I've not been ot the Ace much at all over the winter. That was partly down to roadworks on the North Circular which woul dhave made the journey unpleasant but they've finished now and with teh lighter evenings decided to make the trip this week. Typically a coach had broken down in the middle lane and the police had closed two of the three lanes until it was mooved so the traffic was probably even worse that it had been with the roadworks.....
The usual nice, varied array.
At this point, as it got dark, I went insde with a couple of freinds for food/drinks etc. When we came out later on to look around it was already dark and several cars had already left. And then something amazing happened. In came this thing in the blackest, black paint. Manouvered and parked between a tatty Mk3 Cortina and the Allegro convertible. A crowd (including us) instantly gathered some of whom knew what it was and others who didn't. Exceedingly affable owner happy to chat and obviously over the moon with owning such a thing. I had never expected to ever see one and yet there it was in front of me. Just the coolest of the cool.
Its been a long time since I plopped the camera on the ground as the only available steady surface but I didn't have my tripod and later on when everyone else had gone it was still there and I still couldn't take my eyes off it!
So, who's going to tell me what it is
