Try this guy I've had parts off him before and everything has been great. He breaks Rover V8's and Range Rovers. He's none listed but I've been in his garage and he has loads of stuff. Why do you suspect ecu?
I did same and tried 5 different one's.
My own ran best.
Still got fuelling fault tho.
May be worth you starting a thread in technical giving symptoms?
A lot of ppl with V8 experience on here.

it has good fuel pressure ( new pump and checked )
good spark
will run on easy start/brake cleaner
will cough as though the cold start injector is working?
same symptoms as the last RR i had and this ecu worked on that but not now on this one
