Afaik this car is called Cressida coupe in most of Europe, and my brothers girlfriend has a beatiful green one. My brother owns the rather famous blue four door that drifts everywhere including Nürburgring, and my father just bought a bone stock mint condition blue four door as well:) One of the nicest 'yotas ever made if you ask me:) This post is full of interesting information Did you ever make Tougerenner 2? Now I need to work out how we get everyone that has posted cool stuff in this thread to the UK for The Retro Rides Gathering

Now I need to work out how we get everyone that has posted cool stuff in this thread to the UK for The Retro Rides Gathering No, I ended up being a stupid young idiot curse word myself over economically, workwise and psychologically, and totally gave up for a while. After a few years of nothing, my brother and me bought ourselves a few volvos and made a snow drift video. Fun fact, the guy freezing his curse word off while filming, and also not sleeping that night to edit video, is Fredric Aasbo, now Formula D champion and drifting superstar:-p After that, I bought myself a 1967 bug and built this: flic.kr/p/dT9Ug8That is now my current pride and joy that I hope to finish rebuilding this summer. Enough of that, more updates on your lovely 'Yota please!!

It's not what you drive, it's what drives you.

Nice ride and fascinating that it has a unique engine not shared by anything else but equally impressive that you can send a gasket off for custom made ones. The dash bell - was that it's purpose to be a primitive speed warning device?

Everything i needed arrived anyway so i set about rebuilding the engine this weekend. Toyota were kind enough to put the valve clearences on the airbox, and i managed to locate torque settings for the headbolts. Gave the rocker cover a bit of a freshen up also.

Nice looking car never seen one in 2 door. Remember them being used back in the day as police cars. When I saw you issues with the head gasket this afternoon I phoned a mate that works for a Toyota dealership and strangely they still have a large amount of spares available for the corona because there are still so many on the road.

They do indeed stock many parts for coronas. But unfortunatly not these ones. Theres so many varients of corona toyota themselves get confused. The fact that this is badged even as a corona is strange.I think its to do with the trim level. Some are badged as chasers, others badged as cressidas.

Sorry my error apparently something about the corona before 76 and then badged as a cressida. The store I had chat with used to stock all SAPS spares back in the day for the government garage. And have never discarded with their bits and Bob's due to demand for these parts. According to the salesman they sold the last left hand side oe wing mirror two weeks ago. Not unusual to find old parts still available many decades later in ZA for retros as many of them are still daily drives. Anything built in the last 20year's is still considered pretty new.

Nice car and the grande spec with over riders and the rear wiper you high roller. I have a mx31 coupe down here in New Zealand so good to see what others are about in the world. Theres a bunch of us that have a range coupes and sedans. I know of mx31 in coupe and sedan, mx41 in coupe and sedan. rx30 in sedan, mx40 in coupe and sedan, rx40 in sedan, mx32 in sedan. Friend of mine has put a 1gz into his mx41 which is pretty sweet. Pic of mine when first got it.
