The JRCI Club met up for our first proper meet and run on Sunday, at Yewpoint at the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone, Ireland. We got an absolute cracker of a day, and got a small but quality turn out. Here are some pictures and a video from the day for anyone that might be interested! Pictures Here!

Are those Australian NSW plates on that white Celica? What is the story there?

Are those Australian NSW plates on that white Celica? What is the story there? Yeah, it's an Oz import. We get a good few over here. The owner put the NSW front plate on it for a show recently and never got around to taking it off.

Love the lancer and the datsun pickup. Any idea where the datsun is from? See a roscommon plate but I've never seen it around. When's the next meet on I'd have a few machines to bring?!

The Datsun is from Moate as far as I remember. He was local enough as he showed up in a Golf, left, and ten mins later arrived in the PU No dates on the next one yet Kev, but probably in a couple of months, likely to go down to The Vee for a spin. If you're on Facebook, join Japanese Retro & Classic Ireland - www.facebook.com/groups/1667051296850308/ That's where all the info will be. If you're not on there, I'll try remember to PM ya one here to let ya know.

They belong to a couple of the lads. They're not so much abandoned as being used as spares. They were well rusted before they pulled them out of whatever ditch they were in.

Few of the guys have Mitsis here, and they generally have to look in Malaysia, the Philipines and the likes for parts. A lot of the parts shops over that side of the world have Facebook pages now which make it a bit easier!

We know all about RRG here, and a few lads do make the journey over - but usually by air :-p We only started this club in the middle of last year, I'll see if anyone feels up to bringing their retro J-tin over on the ferry.

There's some amazing cars there! Without wanting to pass judgement or pressure the owner - please tell me this little Sunny 'wagon is getting lowered at some point.

But it's actually his daily. He mentioned at the weekend that it will be lower during the week when he has to put a washing machine in the back of it :-p Those wheels are 11j on the rear and 8.5j up front - mental stuff!
