I've seen this advertised on a few forums & on here,it always caught my eye. It helped that it was in Bristol so after a few phone calls I decided to go & have a look.
It's a mixed bag of early & late wings, front valance & deck lid & a 1200 non vented bonnet.
It was advertised as a 1600 GT but after closer inspection of the engine & shell it was discovered to be a 1200 base model with a 1300 twinport engine.
The guy was a bit pi#%ed as he honestly thought it was genuine.
It might have 1600 internals but the engine code is for a 1300.
The only issue is the framehead closing panel is rotten & needs quite a few patches of weld. Also needs a new rear wheel bearing.
I have an adjustable beam in the garage & some Atom cranked rear spring plates, so lowering it should only take a day.
That's basically my plans.
Repair it, lower it & drive for the spring/summer.
