As I'm planning to make some howto movies and vlog type movies of the repairs that are done in our barn I had bought a little action cam.
reviews suggested the sony ones had decent low light condition filming and stereo microphones so I got a HDR-AS20. But it turns out to be curse word, especially the sound quality is very dissapointing and i cant make myself audible whilst filming outside. Most action cams seem to be focused at image rather than sound so might opt for something bigger. Have looked at the gopros, but sound quality is even worse.
As I need the camera not to break whilst eating loads of dust, moist and other curse word thrown at it (but mainly dust) I won't use a standard camcorder as that will break instantly.
second use will be as an on-board camera, so image stabilisation is a big pro.
As your standard garage scene is rather dark, good image quality on low light conditions is a pro as well, but some lights can allways be added to fill this in.
Had a look at the JVC quad proof series, but can;t find a single video online with sound recordings (someone actually speaking in a microphone)
anyone an idea if the JVC GZ-RX515BEU or GZ-RX315BEU are any good, or someone with other recommendations?
.
budget is an issue... as allways... i am willing to spend 200 quid or slightly more for a perfect option.
