I know that once you have a sad car that you are already committed to, a better one seems to turn up that also needs saving.. but this certainly looks extreme. Hope the next parts car is REALLY terrible Great work so far.

Is it just me who thinks those mis-matched panels look great?

Most of the bodywork was completed on my Beetle (heater channels, both front quarters, bulkhead, spare wheel well, rear inner wings, valances etc) when a '67 donor turned up that needed much less work. Can't keep them all though, so chopped up the donor. Wish I hadn't tho!

Is it just me who thinks those mis-matched panels look great? What's your plan for the paint? Quite like the idea of using rustypaint in a aqua kind of colour, going for a rat van kind of look and when i get the cash and the insurance comes down ill be putting a st170 lump in it

Been struggling for time atm so not much progress although it hasn't stopped me buying part for it. Picked up a side exit cherry bomb exhaust for cheap seen as the current exhaust i had was scrap

Long time no post youll all be glad to hear i havent given up on it, instead its now road legal!!!! replaced the rear light section underside under going prep and stich welding seams more chassis reinforcements Found where the exhaust will live, the warped metal got replaced btw underside epoxyed and stonechipped initial mot where i got told off for it being too many colours -_- as she stands now still got stuff to do, currently have another couple engines in the garage waiting to be fit and toying with getting ms2 ecu for a hcs engine i have. next step is get lower profile tyres and get it properly aligned
