So i got these ages ago from my boss who used to build rally cars back in the 80's. They're all brand new have just been sat around for a long time so dusty/ have bits of soggy box stuck to them/some surface corrosion on some. If anyone could make use of these as oppose to sell them id prefer that but in reality i have no room and i need them gone. I did try donating them to Bruce and Area 52 but we never really got around to it and i appreciate he's hugely busy so it's hard to find time. If Bruce/anyone at else at Area 52 wants these you have priority id rather see them go to a nice community such as yourselves! I don't know what they're all for. The two that are the same are 205 Rears I'm fairly confident and they're adjustable. My boss doesn't remember either but is sure one set is for either a Mk1 or Mk2 Caviler? Basically come and get them and use them in your fantastic retro projects or identify and sell for profit whatever suits you. I'm in Holt, Wiltshire. Phone number is 07564046341 Chuck me a text if it's easier. Anyhow, pictures of said box of lovelyness. All of them. What i beleive to be adjustable 205 Rears, Two sets. Rest I'm not sure. Oh and two little bags with spare washers and bushes in. Pictures arent the best because they're taken on a rug in poor lighting as it's dark outside. Cheers, Dan.

I will gladly come and collect the 205 ones, and am happy to collect for other people who aren't local and would want them couriering.
I'm only in Swindon so can pop over whenever suits.

Anthony is collecting them tomorrow. Sorry to everyone who wanted them courier'd etc etc I'm just very very busy at the moment and don't want to spend what little time i do have spare running more errands. I'm glad they're going to use though. And the ones Anthony doesn't use himself I'm sure he's happy to sell/give! thats his call

As above, I'm collecting them tomorrow. I only want the 205 ones for myself but I'm happy to pack any others into a box for people as required - just reply with which one(s) you want. I've no intention of profiteering

Carlos - if I find that I don't get on with the dampers for whatever reason, I'll drop you a message and you're welcome to them if you haven't sorted anything in the meantime.
(I'm pretty sure you're the guy that had Miles's old Gentry previously aren't you? If so, you collected a carpet and a few other bits from me a year or so back)

I no longer have the Gentry but I now have a GTI with a tweaked S16 lump. I didn't need the shocks right now but thought they'd be useful for my spares stash! Ah well

Ah well I mulled over the 205 you've got now when it was advertised last year but decided it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Looked a good price with the spec though! Coincidentally, tail end of last year I ended up buying a tidy 205 from a close friend of the guy that originally built yours before selling it to Jon - small world and all. He spoke fondly of the car you've now got and memories blatting around the Sussex countryside

I keep meaning to try and track down the guy that built it to see if he has any old pics or info.

Collected and gone to Anthony Again i'm sorry to everyone that wanted them courier'd etc i just really am so busy at the moment, studying for a degree part time while working my ass off full time and the small bits of free time i do manage to find i try and spend wisely! I'm sure they'll get used which is the most important thing, would be such a shame to waste them.

Only the 205 ones are of interest to me so all the others are available to anyone that wants them Collection would be preferred from the Swindon area, but I am happy to package them up and send by courier providing that the costs are covered.

Quick update on this. Two of the four pairs have been provisionally claims, two pairs remain. The remaining two pairs of shocks are: Part number 87-2379 which are listed as being for the front of a 1986-1991 Ford Transit 80/100/115/120 SWB. Part number 8000-1270 which I couldn't find listed anywhere, but Koni confirmed that they're also for 1986-1991 Ford Transit. They couldn't tell me any more information other than that production ended in 1999 (so they're clearly quite old) but given the completely different fitment I'm assuming that they're rears and being 8000 series that they're a "heavy load" variant. I forgot to get pictures, but the Transit fronts are the 5th picture down (with the twin double bolt lower fittings) on the first post and the rears are the 4th picture down (with the auxiliary springs). From what I can tell they seem to move freely, have reasonable damping and no obvious leaks or the like, just some surface rust on exposed threads and un-plated fittings as you can clearly make out on the photos. The red finish on the main body cleans up well and the shafts are in excellent condition. Anyone want them? Free if you collect from Swindon, otherwise cover the costs of couriering them to you
