Well, in the recent podcast, our benevolent dictator stated something along the lines of "More people should do things wih Reliant Scimitars." So..... Scimitar Omega conversion no.1 Scimitar Omega conversion no.2 (yeah, it's black, but a different car) Then someone quietly slips a Jag AJ-V6 into one. Skyline power And my own garage ornament

known as Blue Thunder - went through several iterations in the 90s (I think it finished up as a 2.9 Cologne with twin turbos) and is currently being rebuilt, hopefully out this year.

There is a 6a running a Lexus v8 out there somewhere. I am helping a friend build a jag straight 6 powered, ERA styled scimitar, this is currently on hold as an xjs restoration and an mgf summer toy build have pushed it to the back of the list. www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=23437Ttfn Glenn

Here's my two: The black SE6A on the left is the aforementioned original Omega V6 conversion, now under my custodianship and slowly undergoing a rolling refurbishment program. The yellow SE5 on the right is my first Scimitar and will become my project race car. There were two plans for this one: A) Volvo T5 B) Jaguar S-type 3.0ltr manual I struggled to find a gearbox for plan 'A' (manual Volvo 960) so when I was offered the engine and gearbox for plan 'B' I gracefully accepted. The plan is to run it in throttle-bodies for that period race-car look and sound.

Recent addition to the road: Alfa 24V power: An awesome conversion. The engine looks to be rotated at quite an angle, I'm guessing there's been a fair bit of sump work involved.

Some new & exciting engine swaps there! My SE5 is definitely not in the 'pleasing on the eyes' bracket... ...but the good old 'stick a Rover V8 in it' option has been ticked
