www.carbodypanels4u.co.uk/mazda/626/mazda-626-1979-1983 are showing a few parts.. but better had give them a ring before ordering as i've recently ordered a few bits for my 323, and they cant find it. (long story short they bought containers full of assorted parts and its more in dis array than led to believe) and lucky seven... knew it see i was right its the one, recognized it as i spent many hours staring at the screen wondering how i could rustle up the cash at the time. will be following this car more. shame its gone so far away but glad its with someone with a plan to keep it going.

kevralpina I have seen your car I was debating mx5 engine with a turbo strapped to it. Also are you using the Power Steering rack from an MX5 or the PAS Rack from a MX5? Smurph323 thanks for letting me know about that place I appreciate it, I will be keeping the car and restoring it fully and keeping it for a good few years or even more. I love this car I can just sit and look at it and fall in love every time. As I work full time it's only weekends I can work on it until the sun starts staying out longer. But I hoping to get all the restoration done before summer and then painted also so I can take it to some shows.

Oh yess! and agreed with mk2vr6 i do regret missing the chance to own one of these. from memory someone told me they share things in common with the 1st gen rx7's, steering box and drivetrain worth looking into maybe. EDIT.. infact is this the very same one??? was in cheddar 4+ years ago. I thought this one looked familiar. Turns out it was the same one which was indirectly for sale on here a few years back: retrorides.proboards.com/thread/156061/mazda-626s

I do wonder if there are any unknown cars tucked away. This one was for sale in scruffy condition in Plymouth a few years back, but had been in storage. I got the impression that it was going back in storage if it didn't sell. Anyway, OP, sorry for crashing your thread. Looking forward to updates!

There was a Light blue one for sale in Stroud 2? years ago. I was very tempted.
This one looks stunning though. Should be something with the CA in.

Thanks for the information Kevralpina I might use the Power Steering Rack from an early MK1 as the CA comes with power steering pump, etc... And do down a similar route. But first things first, repair all rust, lol!

Many months have past since I said I was going to be uploading some more pictures however here they are... Only a little bit more metal work to do then will be filling and sanding getting it ready for paint which will be some time in August can't wait to get it back on the road! All Seem Sealed and Under Sealed the Quater I work working on the last pictures. Another one of under seal. Dragged the car out the front and parked it next to my daily so I could get some work done on the garden and tidy up a little bit as you can I have changed the wheel arch and made my my own wider version and started extending the splitter to match. I like this pic with half the car done because the other side is still original and you can see the difference. Originally looks like. Started tackling the other sides front corner. Thats the wing done. Started tackling the inner wing and some of the underneath All welded up and sealed! Added some filler and started sanding to start creating the new body lines Front end all restored and in primer not to move to the back! A good example of the battle I have phased at the back, it was in very bad shape but is almost complete now My progress so far hope you all enjoyed the update I will try and be more active as it is coming to completion P.S Bare in mind this my first ever time fabricating, welding, restoring and pretty much everything I have done on this car is new to me. I have watched and helped others do something similar. Peace out till the next update. And also thanks to Kevin for giving me his contact number and answering my questions!
