Say hello to my new beast I missed the last one so much I decided I needed another one. Drove it back nicely, only noticed some propshaft noise, maybe start with a gearbox flush aswell. First things first. Get it running right. I bought it with turbo seals gone and a boost issue. But with a dyno print of 361. Nice split after the Maf wont be helping, so I taped that back up and refitted it, I will need a new one at some point. Also wouldnt boost past 2500 revs, Could be a few things causing this so I thought id try the easiest thing first, water on the filter and maf. Sure enough i poured half a cup out of the filter (which coincidently is the same filter and issue my last one had) Also not sure how i feel about the dump valves but for now they can stay, I'm getting a slight bit of chatter so they may not be working anyway. I took it out for a spin after these changes and it seemed to behave, it was wet so as boost hit, the wheels lit up, but it did go to 14psi with no bother.

Next, take the bling off. Starting with the bonnet sound deadening, why would you want to deaden the sound of a twin turbo v6? And the chrome trims all off now. And onto the rear window, which aswell as holding water has a nasty bluey tint on it. I got some of it off but i already know from doing my volvo this will be a pain in the bum.

Points i can already see i need to address are general tidy of the engine bay, putting wires where they're supposed to be, removing the HID's cant stand them and their added wiring nests. Tracking, front left wheel is facing the kerb. Couple of spots of rust about that ill attack. Give the interior a damn good cleaning and put a working radio in so the missus will have a nice bit of class, instead of a banger E36 diesel to be taken out in. Need to remove chrome surround trim in the dash aswell (I have never understood why these cars attract chrome) All in all I think a good buy, and I cant wait to start using it. Oh and yellow headlights are on the way

My Nissan Cedric has the same engine as this but single turbo, I considered buying this because I need a manual gearbox , cellulose thinners will get that tint off no problem.

You must be able to put a huge turbo on it then. Single manifold is already set up. The top layer of film has come off easy. The undersheet which may indeed be the glue is stuck on hard and crusty. I have some stuff I'll try first but if that fails yeah thinners. Carefully

Just had a play with the radio as I had no signal. It was just the connector missing the insert. So new one in and dash back together. I have tunes.

Came standard with a single t3 turbo, 90's Nissan slushbox ruins it and it uses fuel at an alarming rate. Looks awesome though .

Not really looked into power yet, I need to make it manual, the t3 was built to hybrid spec apparently so that will do for now

Should be able to get big power with a single huge turbo. Auto will be holding up back. But I bet its easier to drive. Looking at the lighting briefly tonight. 4 dead led bulbs. God I hate these things. More capless bulbs ordered. Interior lights need to be swapped to normal non blue ones aswell. And I! Not entirely sure I have reverse lights
