we all know they're never going to contact you back This was pretty much what I was thinking, but at 16.40 this afternoon a lovely lady phoned me from the council and explained that they would come out to see the garages this week with the view to putting up some appropriate signage. She also said that if I come across any more vehicles parked there to contact them with the details and they'd sort it I know that it's all still words from them at the moment, but so far I'm quite impressed by Bucks County Councils response to this. I would still suggest following up with a conformation email, maximum politeness, thanking them for there prompt response and confirming that any future cases of obstruction shall be reported to them. Feeds the ego, but also means there's a permanent record of the problem. I was told to use emails when dealing with the council, by a social worker as they cannot delete them, whereas I have been lied too, face to face and over the phone by council employees who suddenly "don't remember saying that" If you have struck Lucky with your contact, it will be a record of their good work, if not, they will be on record for their incompetence Ttfn Glenn

I had a car recently parked outside a garage next to my garden, as you can see from my avatar I park my car in a a garage area which backs into my house, my garden is in front of my car, I own one of the garages but it has another car in it currently.
Opposite is another row of garages, and for a few days there was a car parked in front of a garage filled with curse word, this obstructed me when my neighbours van was parked next to me to get to my parking space which well is an unmarked space.
Anyway I phoned my local council about this issue of this car being parked in front and was causing me difficulties parking my car in an unmarked space, and they called the owner, within an hour he had moved the car and was very apologetic to me about it.
Not had any issues since, but I'm confident that if I did then my local council would fix it.
As for piston poppers, well that's just ridiculous parking from some peopl. Can they not see that it's a drive, and there is road markings which indicate not to park there, I can not believe that your local council will not do anything about it, other than make you pay for permits.

One of my friends has a fantastic video of him moving a car by hand from outside his house, unsure of whether it was the right thing to do but still I commend him for trying and succeeding to move the car. I tried to embed the video but it won't work (its not from youtube)

Following on from my email to the Council, I received a phone call from the garage manager who informed me that they are refurbishing the garage block this year with new roof and doors at which time they will erect the no parking signage. She also stated that if I take a photo of any vehicles parked in front she would send the registered owner an official looking letter instructing them to park elsewhere. Not sure if many of the inconsiderates would be that bothered but it might make a few of them think ?

A tyre valve remover is your friend. They'll stop parking there after they come back to their car several times and the tyres are flat. Don't remove the valves as that's causing damage/theft. If the valves are slightly loose is enough for the desired affect. Inconvenience is a b1tch and so is inconsideration! Don't do this. Anything you do to the car to change it's usability can be construed as criminal damage, even if no actual physical damage is caused.

Also, being in a village it wouldn't take them long to find out where I lived.

rub vaseline all over the windscreen, or if you're feeling really irate, set about the 'a' pillar with a mash hammer.

This happens to me all the time, my workshop is 4 garages knocked into 1 with a full width drop curb for all 4 pluss the access to the rear yard behind mine, i just ring the local parking inforcement office and they first come and ticket the car, then 30 mins later they lift it, i've had to do this SEVEN times to a certain Ahole who refuses to accept he's in the wronge (it's taxed i can park anywhere bruv) last week it got lifted cos he hadn't paid some of those 7 tickets, total p r ick, he even left his BM there once for a week and went on holiday! i have 7 no parking signs on the workshop doors ect even put out cones, he just moves them, there is a vehical perminantly outside the yard (parked on my land) so he's allways blocking egress which for some reason is the important part to my council ?
Enfield council also love to trap vehicals on drives with no drop curb, they have these special plastic bollards for doing the job, cant say i blame them, people pay thousands for a driveway but wont pay for a drop curb ? I also used to get this issue at my mums (council garage with parking space outside) even though theres a disabled sign (i keep her disability car in there) people do it, in the end the council fitted a post, if i return (i only take her out for hos visits or doctors and leave the post down so i can pull in and unload the wheelchair and her) and there's a car there i refit the post, trap them and go "out for the day", nice one enfield council :)strangly it's ni on allways some mum with a kid who's all put out cos she's late/couldn't see the 2Ft by 2Ft sign/only popped in for a min (i allways blast the horn for 5-15 mins before re istaling the post cos it takes me that long to set the chair up get mum out the car) some people are just selfish Aholes and sadly i have to say i LOVE fooking with them, sometimes i prtend to be eating dinner when they knock or make them wait a few mins more while i take a pee LOL

Glad to hear you have this sorted, by the sounds of it anyway.
I get it with my driveway a lot and people parking stupidly at work. We have a pump truck and blocks of wood. Slide it under the rear of the car, Bayern across the the jacking points and we Pump them up and move them. Joys of the pump truck is you can steer it and have moved a car into another street before.
Inconsiderate parking rubs me the wrong way.
