Seems there will be a few of these threads, which is great because I always enjoy looking at them I've got a bit of time so I thought I'd have a look back at my petrolhead year. Not massively busy compared to other years but I still managed to see some good stuff. Got to my local circuit - Oulton Park - more in 2015 and I hope to be there a lot in 2016 too. It's great nipping in during the week to see random stuff testing, or a track day. Yeah, I'll definitely make more of an effort. First up, Oulton Park for the BARC Championship races. The rain soaked my ill-considered footwear through in about thirty seconds flat but it dried up and it was a great day of racing. 2CV racing looks great fun, they don't half lean! This year Bug Jam was particularly special because the mighty Sambasaurus has returned. It's not mine but I'm part of the team that races it. If you were around in the very, very early days of this forum you may remember it as the official support bus of RR at the Retro Cars show and things like that. It has a celebrated drag racing history in the hands of Dan Buzzo, previous owner, who instigated a massive global viral stickerbombing campaign ("Akciddento"), in the days before social media was invented. It has been in storage for a few (six I think?) years but it's back out now. '65 sliding door 21-window Samba with a factory ragtop and a history of MSA competition. Not many of those around! There's so much love for this bus in the VW world, it's great to be around it. It's also the most comfy race car IN THE WORLD to sleep in, despite having no interior. I love this bus. Claimed a few scalps in their championship along the way. Oops! The great thing about these threads is how different they are yet all fit into the remit of retro rides.

Thanks DarrenW for putting this together. Some lovely stuff. It's also nice to see pics from Oulton and Donington as they used to be my local circuits and we always attended any historic events there.

Great thread and thanks for the heads-up about Moretonhampstead. Looks great and Google tells me it's only just over an hour away. On the list for 2016!
