Looking for anything for sub £500.
- Near Glasgow but location isnt necessarily a deal breaker.
- Must have be able to survive 4months. i.e. 4months mot. Happy for it to die afterwards
- Not gaudy
My insurance is currently £165 p/m, tax £45p/m and I'm getting 14mpg. Plus the missus is learning to drive and I don't really want to wreck a nicer car. A cheaper runabout would pay for itself after 3 months if I sorn the main car.

Nice Alfa 156 2 litre twin spark lusso, mot til June or July. 88,000 miles. I was looking for £650 right enough. car is in Kilmarnock.

Hi there will have a very clean to immaculate F plate , peugeot 309 glx se with 49,000 miles its a 1.6 carb model. Original and as said before very clean to immaculate condition. Even has bill of sale for nearly £9000 pounds and a lot of service history and recipts aswell. Taking it to my mechanic nxt week as its not running but it,ll be getting fixed and either getting used by me or getting sold . OH and its near glasgow airport. If you want a look give me a shout . Regards paul That sounds fantastic. I'd be keen to hear when you've heard back from the mechanic in case there are any issues. I'd need a minimum of 3months MOT on any car as otherwise it doesn't make much sense for me financially |

Hi there yeah it,ll be getting sorted when qe retrun to work on the 5th january its m.o.t only ran out in mid nov. But my wife and I just became parents to a wee girl called nora, so my hands have been tied to getting near the car to get it sorted. But one way or another it,ll. Be getting sorted and m.o.t.e.d too. Would. Rather see it on the road than being in a scrapyard as its very original and very clean .i,ll keep you posted. Regards paul.

A mild follow-up. I ended up buying a £169 golf mk3 tdi estate on eBay with 4months mot and 250,000miles.
Travelled nearly 900 miles in a day to get it and bring it back. Giving that to my dad in a week.
I'll be looking out for ANYTHING interesting that will survive and save me on insurance/tax/overall running costs. Looks are not an issue. Location is not an issue.
Let me know if you're looking to offload anything.

Hello I'm going to advertise this on here later but I'm not local.1997 Tigra 1.4 Mot September owned about 4 months 51400 miles odd mark here an there drives nice everything works .Due to getting job walking distance to work and sister don't need to borrow anymore i don't need two cars looking for 300.  |
