Afternoon lads/lasses
I'm looking to band some 15" steels and I reckon I'll be looking to go 9" wide. What sort of width tyres do I want with a little (not excessive) stretch?
I'm a complete novice at all this. The wheels are going on my project bmw 2002 which I'm modifying the arches with a mk1 golf arch to get a nice flare to it. Do you think I should be Bandung the wheel to the completed arch, or being conservative with the wheel width to ensure they'll fit under the arch, then put the arch over the wheel and spacing them out to the arch?
Hope you all had a great Christmas by the way.
Cheers

Cheers for the reply mate.
That sounds to me like a lot of stretch. Maybe a 205 would be a bit more subtle for my liking

I too have 205 on a 7" x 15" rim. Standard Mercedes S class W126 if you want to google that. Lot of side wall though (205/65x15)

I'm going to be Mr. Boring and suggest 225s if they will fit:).

You wouldn't happen to have any photos of it Gt4me? Give me your email and I'll send a few, putting photos on here is a pita. It's easier than email - just drag and drop. You don't need a picture host or anything. Just click the picture, drag it over to the reply box, let go. Or click the link if you're on a phone.
