Impressive work but looses something in the finished version for me too.

yeah looks a lot boxier in the finished one. without the dodgy lights and a better choice of wheels it might be a lot better.

Was just thinking it didnt look so good finished ,then saw the comments agreeing ! So 'right' when showing all the weld lines etc! should've been laquered !

When I saw the "in progress" shots, I hought this could turn out to be one of my all-time favourite retros. But the finished article falls short of the mark for me. The work gone into it is astounding, but I think it needs different back lights, different wheels, DEFINITELY a different paintjob, and I think I'd want to change the angles of the pillars so they slope inwards (I know that's not easy, but after all the other work that's gone into it the guy's clearly capable)
But a stunning project none the less. More than I could ever do.

I dig it. Shame the front grill's made from a set of old blinds, though. That said, the paint is STRAIGHT, especially considering how much panel work and fab has gone into it.
I definitely prefer the wheels in the second pic down.
Still, I could never come close to creating such a contraption - fair play that man.
