Hello there. I've been enjoying this forum for a couple of years and I finally thought it was time to get active in here. My name is André, I'm 33 and from Germany. Use this as an excuse if my rusty school English fails on me. When I was 7 years old my dad took me to the IAA car fair in Frankfurt and there was this car. I immediately fell in love with it. It was always on my mind. 23 years later, I finally got the money and the stupidity to sell my modern Skoda and get her: She's a 1990 Toyota Celica GTi ST182. I was searching quite a while since I wanted to have a 1990 one without the rear wing the 1991+ GTi had and I wanted a/c and a sunroof. A rather rare combination. When I got her she was in quite a bad state. The brakes were non-existent, she was rusty, light matte faded pink and leaked oil everywhere a car can leak oil. The offer was good though so I got her and put her together the way I wanted her. I changed the steering wheel, the taillights, the wheels, stainless steel exhaust and some other cosmetical things. When I had her the way I wanted her to be I realized I don't want to ruin her in the winter time. So I put a season plate on (registered only from April to October) and now she's in her winter sleep. So to get from a to b during the winter I got myself a 750 € Corolla to go with the Celica. Of course I couldn't keep it completely stock either so I got the same rims on it the Celica has, a stainless steel exhaust and some other stuff. These are my two current rides and I can't imagine driving something else like a early nineties Toyota anymore. Well, maybe an early nineties Subaru Legacy Estate in the future...

Two lovely cars you have there andrelei I didn't realise that there was a seasonal plate available in Germany, that's a cool idea. The corolla looks very smart with those alloys & I'm not normally one that likes aftermarket alloys. CFD

TTE (Toyota Team Europe) was Toyota's own in house tuner at the time so they're half aftermarket half OEM.

Look forward to the updates Thanks mate. There will not be many updates since I'm not gonna change much. I love her nearly stock looks so I don't think there will be much visible changes in the future (except a respray to her 30th birthday in 2020). I'd love to see a pic of your ST185 though. A mate of mine has quite a nice GT Four himself

It worked. Looks very nice. I love the OZ wheels.
Those Hellas might find a way into the bumper of my Corolla as well.

Long time no see. Unfortunately a mate of mine passed away recently. He had a nice collection of rally equipped classic Toyota Starlets, a vintage Toyota motor home and some other stuff. After he died his parents were afraid his automotive legacy would fade and asked a mutual mate if he could care about finding a good new home for the cars. Knowing I'm a fan of the 90s Toyotas he thought of me when it came to finding a new owner for the daily, a 1999 Corolla G6R. Keeping the memory of my mate alive AND get my hands on a first owner G6R with under 100k miles? Couldn't say no to that. So now there's three red 90s Toyotas in my driveway... Probably gonna sell the Corolla E10 though.

Definitely something significant to remember a friend by. Wondering if I am in a similar position regarding a late friends car, even though I already one ridiculously similar to his.

I'm probably gonna sell the older Corolla. There's absolutely no point in having two Corollas which serve the same duty as winter and bad weather whores. You know, you can never have enough E-Types but we're talking Corollas. 😄

The 93 Corolla was picked up by a nice young couple today. It's supposed to replace a 95 Corsa which literally stalled in my driveway when they picked up the Corolla. I guess they'll enjoy the lack of problems they will have with it. I'm gonna miss it. It was a great car and served me good.

This weekend with the 93 Corolla sold I thought I'd put a hand on the G6R. It hadn't been washed since probably 2005. So I really put some time and effort into detailing and I guess it shows. Damn, I guess I need a new winter ride. 😂
