Hi chaps, been a long time since I've been on here! I've moved away from VWs and last year imported this from the south of France. Hightop J7 panel van which had windows cut into it and very ropey/rotten wooden interior. As you can see I've rebuilt the interior and got it on the road. I've been having a few issues with it losing power when it gets up to temp but I'm working my way through the possibilities. Hope you like.

Excellent choice, don't remember when I've last seen one! After seeing your van, I felt the urge to post this: It's from the cover of the local leading car magazine, issue 6/1977. Drive safely!

Cool! Any Future plans for it? At the moment I'm focusing on getting it running right, but then I think some lowering, rims and 5 speed box.

Nice, there's just something about lowered vans that rocks my boat.

Nice to see another one of these, there's a guy down our road imports them regularly, if you get stuck for bits I could get his contact details,

Nice, there's just something about lowered vans that rocks my boat. Yeah all my VWs were on the floor, never seen one of these more than mildly lowered though...

Yay , we had one for a short while when i grew up , end eighties beginning naughties. A petrol one on lpg. Overheated all the time and in the end traded in for a nissan trade , because it could not be cured. My dad always drove with the slidingdoors open amd almost lost his hand during an emergency stop. Those were the days....

Nice, there's just something about lowered vans that rocks my boat. The nice thing about them is they have 6 height settings on the rear from factory, and the front is wishbone set up so they're pretty easy to get lower. Huge wheel tubs help this no end...

Having had a van before, it is probably a matter of time (got to finish the 66) before I have another.
Looking good.
Love the pic with the bike.
