Had a lovely day in the autumn sun with Mrs Kabman and mini-miss-kabman at Mallory yesterday. Mallory's my favourite circuit, historic saloons my favourite racing and the weather couldn't have been better to boot. In fact it was the first time I can remember being at a race and not being either frozen or frazzled. Anyway, enough chat, let's see photos of cars.
Panda car was driven by nan's favourite, Chris Rea, but had problems early in the day so I never got to see it run.
There were a lot of very rapid A35s and A40s. An even more rapid, and glorious sounding, Lotus Cortina won the first race despite blowing up on the last lap. I missed getting a photo of it before it pcked up and left early.
This wasn't racing but slap some numbers on it and it wouldn't have been out of place.
Proper transporter too.
Coupe!
Inside that A40. Clean enough to eat your dinner off.
Megaphone exhaust. Braaaaaaaapppp!
A swarm of A35s line up for the Flying A trophy.
