Nothing so glamourous.... Have been a trucker for the last 18 1/2 years, worked for a large national sportswear firm from 1988 until it went bust in 2001. Prior to that I was a certificated bailiff for 3 years....and yes, I could tell some stories!! Passed my Cat C LGV test in 1997. Since 2003 I've worked for a firm specialising in thermoplastic aluminium formings driving a 7.5-tonner. I also have counterbalance fork-lift licences for up to 15-tonners (which are pretty mean machines- the biggest one at work has a propane-fuelled V8!!!). Also work part-time from home at weekends as a recruitment advisor for the family staffing agency, specialising in temporary healthcare staff. Exciting, huh??

I'm technical manager for a road sign/traffic management firm in Dublin.
Not very glamourous, but I get to play with big electronic variable message signs all day.

I travel the globe posting boring off topic threads on verious internet based forums. I tend to specialise in 'what s your boring job?' 'what crappy music do you like?' and the highly popular 'look at my new pet cat isnt it cute' models.

i don't have a job, i havent had for a year now and before thatlst 3month sprint it was 2 years, ive never claimed benefits either. i buy and sell and dismantles all manner of things to earn a pittance. its not always easy infact it never is, but oh well allows me to chill out and do what i want. and because this is a bit of a rubbish thread and contains no retro content

You're gonna hate me but I believe that these threads spell the start of a slide away from the reason this forum exists in the first place. I know what most of the people who regularly post on this forum do for a day job without the need to ask (although Grizz's profession has surprised me! ) because things like this appear amongst normal car-related stuff. I know I sound like a kill joy, but I honestly feel that these threads should be avoided if we want to keep the forum the way it was intended. Please guys, lets not become another social club that used to be a car forum.

engineer for a big contracting firm doing heating and cooling systems and underground storage (megawatt range, no household fiddling) also active in the UK (under the name of Leadbitter construction) mostly calculating stuff, when I'm finished studying (1 day a week) I'll go find a bigger challenge.. and hopefully I'll end up with my boots in the mud trying to get things sorted, coz the office is not the right place for me.. and... all forums are social clubs too
