Not sure how much this will get populated but thought I would give it a go.
Back in Match I decided I needed a toy again so set about looking for an XJR for £5k. After looking at some dogs and missing some mint ones I found what I had always wanted.
It was massively under budget but neglected.
It's a 1994 (yes a 1994 first year production) X300 XJR with the straight 6 lump in the launch colour of turquoise. I'll try and get some pics up later when I can remember how.
It's a very early one and doesn't even have a glovebox fitted, as apparently they weren't ready in time.........
It had a very cool first reg of M1 XJR but has been through a few owners now.
So since I bought it it has needed a full service include trans flush, new crank position sensor to sort a starting problem and a full set of new tyres as it was running around on crusty old winter tyres.
I've done more miles in 2 months than it did in the past 3 year but that is starting to show a few weak points up that need sorting.
Not sure how long I'll keep this old girl but glad I saved it from probable oblivion, and oh the power from the barge is immense and I don't mind 15ish MPG.
Cheers
