Anybody in the south west (50 miles from BA3) got a Series 2 / 3 SWB rear axle ? We need one for our project resto so we can get it moving under its own steam. Any other bits considered for right price ! Loads of 109 Salisbury's out there but no 88's at the moment. James

Only the shock mounts are functionally any different I think? If you put the 88" spring plates on the bottom then a 109" should work until you can find the correct one for the vehicle.
(unless i've forgotton about something)

I think propshaft lengths are different too so too much of a faff unless you want to run a Salisbury for some reason.

I'm guessing you want to keep it standard, so a pair of range rover axles modified to fit would be no good?

Standard-ish - we have a 109 front axle to get the bigger brakes as per a late series III, its a 40 year old car that might just return the investment in bringing it back to life (crosses fingers lives in hope!)if we keep it standard ish. It's for local pottering about in not as a daily anyway. I'm sure I will live to regret it - I hated the drums on my old mini with a passion !
