someones pleased with it its an actual clown car!! little bag of goodies not sure what this is, was in the tool bag LPG tank I take it thats where you fill it even cleaned it gave it the once over. Brake lights, indicators and reverse lights not working, need a heap lamp buib and its not swapping over to LPG. I'll sort the lights then MOT it. there some polo 80mm lowering springs on eBay and i fancy some ATS classics

Loving it. The polo gear is going to make life easy. I had one , it's a great car. Mine had to be scrapped with terminal rust. Just not worth it . Love this good one.

These later trabi's can be made to look like the 2 stroke version by swapping some panels bumpers and back lights. And it's just a simple nut & bolt job.

Best of luck with your Kombi! A buddy of mine brought a 1.1 in from Hungary last year, I couldn't get over how well it drove. Not just Trabant good, it was just a smooth and handled as well as my old 6N Polo.

I can't say anything except, I love it, a trabant has always been in my want list, I don't know if I'd fancy daily driver-ing an original 2 stroke version but a 1.1 polo would be easy to get along with!

I use my trabi to go to work quite often for the last two years. It's a round trip of 16 miles mostly a roads and some town driving. It's never let me down once and is great fun to chuck around corners on three wheels.

as its a 1990/1991 not sure if its classed as a 601 or just tribant 1.1. anyway its just a trampy tribi to me. brakes awful, its had new discs, pads and rear pads and new brake lines underneath so i'm going to change the master cylinder, does anyone know if its the same as a mk1 polo or a tribant one i need. thanks had these bullet mirrors in my garage for about 10 years, look they'll bolt straight on bypassed the brake light switch, and they worked so need to pick a new switch up its had new wiring and a new fuse board .... i've had a bit of a result with this the previous previous owner kindly left this translated the German wiring diagram to English (via Polish) the hazard lights work but the indicators don't. Does the hazards have there own relay built in the switch ? i was going to get a new indicator relay

Love it. Looks a bit like something BMC would have built in the '60s. Like an ADO16 estate shrunk to Mini size. I'd totally drive that thing as an every day car.

Funny. Found a small diecast pull-back-and-go one of these at Rite Aid in town. It amused me so it got bought. Looks better in beige though. Phil
