Hey guys and gals, haven't posted here for a long time (used to just lurk) but thought I should wade in and contribute.
My 1967 Triumph GT6 Mk1. I recently fully rebuilt the suspension front and back, also modified the head with inserts to run on standard unleaded.
Found some ultra rare 5.5j Mk1 steel wheels for it to replace the horrible minilite lookalikes that were on when I bought her. Had them powder coated creamy white, just need the flat face hub caps for them now which are unfortunately quite expensive for new. They're on the list.
I re-chromed everything and re-instated the bumpers, the previous owner had de-bumpered it and while it made it look more aggressive I felt like it just didn't look right. I do like my chrome.
Good points: All original and has the correct ratio overdrive. Correct rare steel bonnet. Almost completely rust free. Correct interior
Bad points: Incorrect steering wheel (I have an original one awaiting refurbishment). Gearbox and engine leak oil like a bloody sieve. I know where the leaks are but it requires a rebuild, which to be honest they could do with anyway as they've never been rebuilt in its life. Currently just keep them topped up and they're fine. I can rebuild engines in my sleep but the overdrive will require a specialist.
Still on the minilites in these two, next to my Alfa Romeo 105 GTV Bertone.
