I was just pulling into my house when out of the corner of my eye I caught hold of a very low red object riding by, bloody hell it's a Ferrari Dino! Only saw it for a couple of seconds but blimey they're small, nice Ferrari burble as it roared by. They're a bit unusual to my eye but was great to see it never the less. Question is what rare cars have you seen first actually on the road and not at a show?

I once saw a delorian at stupid o'clock at night joining the main road where I live, I almost left the road lol

Just today I saw a Lamborghini Gallardo parked outside a house local to me. Thing is, the area it was parked in isn't the best (Meadowell Riot springs to mind). You would have to be mad to park there, but absolutely insane leaving it unattended. Wez Byrne saw it too.... Seems its a 2014 Huracan   |

Saw a jaguar xj220 on the A14 and a couple of weeks later a ferrari 288gto on the M11. But now I see and work on loads of rare cars at work.

Not exactly retro but a BMW i8 parked next to me in a restaurant car park a few weeks ago. Pretty amazing looking car, that I've since seen driving through Bassett.

I was surprised to see this in my local petrol station last year!  (Sorry for the shocking quality!) Forgot to add I see a Isdera imperator on a trailer outside work not too long ago. |

I too saw a Red Dino. On Wednesday. It was sitting at traffic lights about 8-30pm in Lee Green Se London. A chap on a mountain bike nearly crashed due to staring at it.

Not the first one I've seen, but spotted an Audi R8 parked at one of those laybys where folks meet up to car share. That was on my way to work, and it was still there on my way home. What sort of lunatic leaves that unattended for 9 hours, and what did they find better to travel in?

Bloody hell that 250 lusso must be about 1-2 million quids worth! Cars I have seen on the road and once and once only are;
Pagani Zonda - amazing noise that thing makes.
A black Lamborghini Aventador - you kind of expect batman to be behind the wheel.
Ariel Atom - bloody weird thing when coming towards you.
Delorean - I want one.
Morgan 3 wheeler - strange.
Ferrari Dino - most recent.
Believe it or not I have never seen on the road (and I mean just a chance passing not going to a Lotus show) a Lotus Elite or early Esprit.

Saw an XJ220 on the A420 late last year, in a matt black finish with a spoiler, cant be many of those about!
Sounded glorious plodding along at 45-50!

When I was a nipper I was on the way to Guildford Car Auctions with my old man (a weekly ritual!)...
Out of the corner of my youthful, beady eye I spotted something low and red and sporty looking... Well, flip' me!!! It was a Ferrari F40...!!!!!!!!!!!
That was in about 1989(ish) so it was really something to behold not that it wouldn't be now of course...!!!
I remember that so darn clearly and it still makes me tingle a tad now!

I Saw an f40 Last summer, must have been a ferrari day at silverstone or something, bit weird to see it coming out of my estate though.
One of my customers has a black diablo i see quite often on the back of an AA wagon! Haha

I used to live in a village called Worminghall, in bucks, there was some sort or classics restoration place in the small industrial estate just outside the village. Used to see and get overtaken quite often by really old buggatis, you know the type cigars with wheels and ten foot long bonnet, absolutely roaring, then out of same estate one day a Lamborghini Miura, saw two of them in the area before I relocated to Scotland.

This was quite possibly the first time I knowingly saw a 250SWB. It was a Christmas Day heading up the Mall towards Buckingham Palace.  I later learnt it's not just 'any' 250SWB but a very significant one too, with Moss racing history. |
