Does anyone know the PCD of hillman Hunter front disks? Or know if escort disks will fit?
Need to upgrade the brakes on the front to better disks and big brake kits for a hillman Hunter are none existant, whereas every rally shop sells gear for escorts for a reasonable price!

I seriously doubt Escort discs will fit ! The Hunter GLS was the Hillman "hotrod" with a Holbay engine. Have a look what was fitted to that model and see if parts are suitable.

pretty sure the Hunter wheel PCD is 4x4.25" (108mm) - depends how the disc is attached though as it can be a different PCD to the wheels. Of course, the bell size is important on a disc or the caliper won't be central.

I know the PCD for the wheel studs are 4x108, but the disk bolts to the back of the hub. Ignore my previous *helpful* comment. Rear drums use the wheels studs so are 108 PCD, I forgot fronts have their own mountings so are different. Oops!

Haha, no bother Nomad, i'm sure the following information may be helpful for us anyway.
Just had a measure and got the following: Disk Diameter: 242mm Height: 25mm Hole to fit onto hub: 66.6mm Bolt Diameter: 10mm PCD: 4x85
So unfortunately the MK2 escort disks wont fit, but I'm sure i'll be able to fins something closer and vented!

Turns out the hillman disks fit quite a few cars. Black diamond performance turned out to be a good source of info. I eventually found this page HERE after looking through their catalogue and finding the part number KBD 199 so anything from that list of cars should fit the hunters! . I've just ordered some M16 Calipers, hoses, fittings for my existing copper line and some Green Stuff pads (no idea if they will make much of a difference but "fast road" best describes this cars future useage!) James I can't find a listing for the Lotus Sunbeam but might be worth checking if they are same size discs as other Sunbeam models or an uprated part.
