This thread makes me sad. I'd like to see some cool cars posted from everyone in this thread... Rules is rules (and apply even to positive and cats contributions ) so as leadsleds really don't get as much attention on here as they could... Miles deep paintwork with new chrome is one route, but my path is more "hard-as-nails" attitude with some miles on the clock a '49 '50 mercury is a good start or a 1940 mercury a Hudson with fins is a left-field option or UK based '46 Chevy or something different how about a new take on a classic theme in the form of a hi-tech 1949 Mercury the plan can also be applied to brit tin (A70 Hereford? ) if anyone is feeling the urge, you can now buy non-rusty '49 Merdury fibreglass body & chassis kits to help you on your way www.acautos.com/49-50-mercury/#body

As the OP of offending penance thread you really should post a penance thread of your own sir (old skool - back in the day anyone posting a bad thread had to post a good one in penance) over to you sir :-)

If it was mine I'd add some subtle pinstripe to it think that would really set it off ? Perhaps not pinstriping but some form of brightwork like in that lovely Amazon 'shop? Did find a "shop" worth posting Perhaps in brushed alloy not chrome - would sort of match the treatment of the grill and wheels?

I don't post enough, or make any valuable contribution, so that thread reminded me that this is a community that I like and it's general rules, in general. We all make this place the fun and interesting place it is. so have a volvo. [img src=" " alt=" "] can't decide if I love or hate the indicators though.....

Good call on the Volvos ! I'm sure I could find a space for any of those above ( a hard-as-nails, daily driver/weekend warrior ) * the 'shop one is a bit too clean for me, and indicators might need to moved around on the last one but it's all minor stuff. I looked at an Amazon estate (retro & practical) last year, if I could get the leadsled look to work on an estate I could be onto an oddball winning mix... Not my 1st choice of colour but it's food for thought ( Google : "Woody Leadsled Stalliondesigns" for more info)
