New car acquired and I decided to spoil myself this time - she's NOT a project!!
She's clean, not rusty, complete, runs great, everything works...
3 owners and 53,000 from new, a few "Shellubrication" service slips from '56 to '61
Just a lovely car, 2 hour drive home and she holds a good 60 on the M-way. Used her 3 times yesterday and no complaints (apart from the 3 daft women who almost literally destroyed her last night!!!!)
Will upload pictures when I get home/Wifi, you won't be disappointed

What a great car. An old fellow had one of these where I grew up, in a forest green colour - seems like a while ago. Late '70s. It was already a classic car then. Makes me nostalgic just looking at it. I always fancied one of these in the days before my driving licence. Does it have three forward gears?

That does look perfect. Nice collection of machines you have there. Last time I saw a 100e was at an autotest a few years ago. There was a spectator there in a cracking blue four door with fat steels. Looked brilliant. There's actually an auotest prepared two door run for many years by Dave Cook. I have an old auto performance magazine article on it from about 30 yrs ago. I've actually seen it in action at the Larne international about 25 yrs ago. Great cars.

Thanks, it's nice to hear little stories relating to the cars. Yes it's 3 forward and 1 reverse :-)

Awesome! Not a project? ....I'll give it month before you start Well I'll be doing the odd bit... Slightly lowered front end, banded steels are en route, carpets, possibly a slightly uprated exhaust... Oh and a shield to insulate the fuel line that lives over the exhaust manifold!!

She's dead!! Well, the battery is anyways... On my Monday spin I took another local rust collector to show the car to "Dan the Yank" (another rust collector only he collects American rust) This was all fine but my passenger found the interior light. Long story short, he left it on, it stayed on until it turned itself off. Went to go to mumsies today with a car full of women and children and the battery may aswell of been disconnected! Viva powered jump leads on and she lived. Got driving and she (totally not my fault...) stalled half way across a busy T-Junction! Next thing I've the got girlfriend pushing me down a hill in moderate traffic trying to bump start! Never worked though, had to get jump started again. Alas, we made it in the end. Now I need to buy a battery... Joys!
