ThePollitt and I went up to the Cotswolds on Saturday, along with a bunch of other journos, to drive a variety of things from Great Escape Cars. The day was split into a number of jaunts across country, taking in Redditch, Solihull, Coventry, and miles and miles of country lanes, with each team of two picking a random car out of the hat for each leg of the trip. The cars Chris and I ended up with were a Series III V12 E-Type, an Austin Allegro (!), a 3.8 Mark II Jag, a 3.4 Mark II Jag, and an Audi Quattro. So, which one do you think we liked the best? Some photos here for your delectation... Some very nice cars, I just love the Jensen.
Was it the Allegro by any chance?

Saw all the feedback on Twitter yesterday and it does look like it was a good day.
As it happens, I dropped in there last Wednesday and met with Graham as the Mother-in-Law lives round the corner. Nice guy and a great place to drink coffee whilst looking longingly at some tasty metal!

The corvette is giing me inappropriate thoughts. I'd settle for one of the Jags or the Jensen though!

Cracking photos, looks like you guys had a splendid day.
I remember picking up a rear hatch for my MGB from this place a year or two ago. I had no idea when I bought it online that it was coming from a place like this. Turned up after work and the bloke there took me into the warehouse to get it and my jaw hit the floor. It's packed with old tin(and by packed I mean it must have taken a fair bit of organising to fit all of those classics into the warehouse) from tatty old Saabs (several of them if I remember right) to some of the shiny, droolworthy stuff you see here. I spent a while looking over a very crashed V12 Etype that some nonce had span into the armco on an arrow straight bit of motorway.

Looks like a fun day out, Albeit in the west midlands, rather than the cotswolds (You must have skirted around the very edge and tbh you have missed a real treat). I was rather looking forward to seing some classic cars pictured with a timeless, cotswold village backdrop (not that the pics you have taken aren't appreciated). I suggest you get in contact with great escape cars again and get them to let you have another go!

To be honest, anything above the M25 is just 'north' to me.
