those wheels look soooo right!
I like the fact that the rear door does not have an upper window surround, makes it look less clunky. Its a beast of a car, but not as gigantic as an old Caddy......very nice!

I know the wheels are a bit marmite, but I love them. Silly big, not going to be the greatest of rides, but I don't care (for now ) There was a couple o things I was looking for, other than a big V8 - pillar less windows / doors, big bench seats, column-shift auto, and a linear speedometer. Only things this doesn't have is the linear speedo, but I have an idea for making some trick gauges anyway

Before sorting out the inner fender strengthening panel I fitted it up to the body as best I could. it took a bit of tweaking, and it's not perfect, but I doubt the panel gaps were great from new... I made up a basic former / jig, so that I could make sure it was still the same shape when it was on the bench. It's such a big piece of sheet metal without a lot of shape to it, certainly flexes and twists a lot when it's not mounted to the car. No photos, but the inner panel was a bit of a fight, and for some reason the welder just didn't want to behave. Got there in the end, but I am glad it's only the inner panel that nobody will ever see. Some rust converter and a couple of heavy coats of weld-through zinc primer, then it was all welded back together and back on the car.

Time to start on the other wing. Let's see what lurks under the nasty stone chip... Ah yes, the classic panel welded over the rust hole and covered in filler... Going to have to cut a bit more out of this one, but least now I have one complete fender to copy...

I've decided to put this up for sale, so if anyone wants a project get in contact. If it doesn't sell in a few weeks I might change my mind, but at the moment I could really do with the space back, and have no time to work on it.
