Apologies if this is old news, but only just heard of it myself. A new 13 part series starting on 5th Feb on C5. Quentin Wilson, Jodie Kidd. With so few car programmes on terrestrial TV, I look forward to this one, and have crossed fingers that it might just be alright.

I was getting a strong whiff of stringback gloves and flat caps until I saw that skinny dude in the glasses. He'll be our man, looks like he'll be driving the stuff we see on this very board.
Looks OK to me, and anyway, it has Jodie Kidd in it, not only is she hot, she really knows her stuff behind the wheel. Which begs the question, Jodie Kidd or Vicky Butler-Henderson? That's a tough one.
My friends now departed father bought a Turbo R that included Mr Wilson among its previous owners. Only Bentley I've ever driven.

Interesting......
It looks like it may be a bit 'high end' for the likes of us? Lots of pretty things to look at though, including the aforesaid Miss Kidd!
The geezer in the glasses and the feller in the racing overalls both looked familiar but I'm not sure where from.
Fingers crossed then!

Looking forward to it.
I like Quentin Willson. That trailer just told me that I'm going to be taking a nostalgic trip to back when Top Gear was on a Thursday evening at 8.30 and was, well, good!

Quentin "clocker" Willson looks more like Dracula every day, doesn't he?
Jodie Kidd is fantastic, enthusiastic, intelligent, a real Petrolhead too. I'll turn in for her.

Saw this mentioned somewhere on Farkbook and had already added it to the planner. As said above, reckon it will have some vibes of old school TG about it, which can't be a bad thing. As for Quentin Wilson, I chatted to him at the motorshow years back (about trying to get into motoring journalism!) and he seemed like a thoroughly decent bloke, who knew his stuff. As for having Jodie Kidd on board, that can only be a good thing, too

Damn you! I honestly can't choose, so I'll have to take both. VBH every time. After much deliberation I think I'm joining you in the VBH camp, I don't think I'd ever tire of that husky voice. I saw VBH near mine stuck on the A12 in traffic. Spotted a Maserati, pulled up beside it, and there she was smoking a fag out of the window. Guessing she was going to the old USAF Bentwaters site, C5 do a lot of filming there. There's a definite posh bird acting naughty thing going on with VBH and that pushes my buttons. I belive the skinny dude was on 5th Gear. A man that should be on telly more is Edd China, the genius behind Wheeler Dealers. The world needs to see more of his custom creations as he's so much more than Mike Brewer's grease monkey.

VBH is a horrble scrawny gristle-faced whinnying hoorah horse. She's like fingernails on a blackboard and you're all very weird On the positive side, that programme looks OK to me. Any car show is better than none. Unless it's Top Gear, of course. The "bloke with glasses" is Alex Riley, who used to co-present the short-lived Classic Car Club with Penny Mallory and Tony Mason. I like him, he's amusingly dry and was once nice about RX-7s. And since there's arguably a bit of negativity in this post (but I make no apologies for pointing out that VBH is like a squealing chicken nugget. With a face) here's the aforementioned Mr Riley, being nice about RX-7s

I like the sound of this. QW mentioned this during one of those live interviews at the NEC in 2013. It sounds like a slightly more indulgent portion of the 'The Car's the Star', featuring those old motors we love. I'm sure he said it was for Sky (which I don't have), so I'm glad to see it's on terrestrial. I'm a big fan of Willson's witty wordsmithery (see what I did there). It's like having warm caramel ouze all over you. Ermmm....can I say that out loud? This looks good, definately be watching. As for VBH, she's like a screeching child, Jodie Kidd every time.

The thought of Quentin Willson oozing warm caramel over me makes me feel a little queasy, to be honest.

Really are we doing the whole "which woman would you chose" thing on here? Get thee back to Fast Cars facebook page.
In the mean time this looks interesting, something a bit different to some other cars show and hopefully well produced.

I think this will be a good show if you watch it and do not take if too seriously...
I fear it'll try and be a bit too 'know-all' but there is so little of this kind of thing on the tube that I will put up with a little of that...!!!
The one thing I fear is that it will only serve to push the ever increasing values of certain classic cars up even more! For example, there is going to be a feature on the glorious (oh I wish I got in there sooner!!!!!!!!) Jensen Interceptor that I just know will be a 'nab-one-whilst-you-can' kind of thing!!!
However, I cannot be too full of bile as shows like this really are a good thing as it shows that there are classic cars out there to be savoured and enjoyed and what can be wrong with that...?!
Let's give this a try and then re-group and see what we think...?!
If it's not good then we need to create a Retro Rides YouTube channel and do it ourselves...!!!!!!!!

I have a single reservation.
Perhaps it's nothing more than their equivalent of a SIARPC, but if this turns out to be a CELEBRIDEEE show, then I'm out…
