That's an amazing stash. Bittersweet like you say. At least the son is holding on to his dad's 1st model A though, that's nice.

I can only imagine the effort trying to sort out the different parts - what they actually are and what they will fit. Have just finished emptying my dads garages after he passed away almost a year ago and that took a lot of time selling a few cars and parts left from different car restorations. But compared to this it was nothing!!!

I've come to hate the word 'barn find' as now it's a common phrase for chancers selling total tat that they think is worth a mint because they haven't been able to tax a motor for a year. But this is proper, it's insane to fathom how big the place is to cut you way into a hidden garage yet alone to find all of that automotive awesomeness lurking in the overgrowth! As said bitter sweet but a nice touch keeping the 2 motors back as heirlooms.

i agree lee, still not a barn find though IMO, Bob knew where they were all the time, they weren't lost, I'm glad at least 2 cars will stay in the family,
Bob obviously had a good eye and i bet he had a few good stories as to tell as well RIP
