Mine as of this morning when I paid a deposit... excited to get my hands on it and have it MOT'd and on the road. A rare car as far as I can tell, and also belonged to a previous member on here! I'm usually very much into German cars but I saw this and liked it and although it was built in Japan, I used to work at the Nissan plant in Sunderland and it reminds me of home!

Anyways I'm sure some of you will have seen it on ebay.. heres a few pics..

Rare is an understatement! Awesome machine dude! Looks to be in very nice shape too, easily tidied up and enjoyed! Love these beasts!

Cheers guys, I remember these when I was younger as a guy on my paper round had one, all black very nice but a huge rust hole in the rear quarter panel. Always thought it was a very odd car..not common at all.
I'm not one for destroying nice original cars like this so I'll start with getting it mot'd and tidied up on the outside, sort the little bit of rust, repaint the standard alloys and maybe a nice rear silencer.

Always wanted one of those - about 15+ Yrs ago, saw a black one in Auto Trader for strong money in Lee On Solent - Was about 1k over what they were fetching but had 1 owner & really low miles. (Was an Executive too)
Went down with cash in pocket and some middle aged Indian fella answered the door and handed me the keys to look it over.
Approx 3 mins later, I put them back through his letter box and came home - Leather was ripped/torn and the worst I have ever seen and although it had current MOT, the inner sill was rotten on both sides and the floorpans were not far behind. Shame

This is one of those moments where I'm thinking "they made a turbo one of those?!" Pretty cool, my dad had a standard bluebird, I don't remember it much (probably because it was quite sedate and boring compared to other cars he has had)

I saw this and really wanted it. My Mrs said it looked like a taxi and wouldn't go out in it (pah!), but I love it! My old man worked at a Nissan dealership in the late 80's and I remember him running one of these (and an Executive!) and a hatchback Sunny ZX, so maybe there is an element of rose tinted glasses! I ended up going boring and getting a Mk1 Golf GTI. Good luck with this, it's such a rare beast!!

Get an intercooler in there, nice bit of extra power and lower intake temps are healthier. I have a zx turbo with ca18det from a Nissan 200sx.

Trying not to get excited about doing things with this car until its mot'd but its hard! I want to put a bigger intercooler on and maybe a t25 turbo? Total novice with Nissans. Any help with where to get an intercooler kit and turbo much appreciated! I see loads of new t25's for sale on ebay but no idea how involved a change is?

My answer would be go to your local scrapyard, rummage about for any old intercooler and pipework, fairly easy to plumb in. I had 1 off a vauxhall vivaro van on mine for a while. As for turbo's I can't remember. Pretty sure a t25 off a Nissan 200sx would be fine but all depends on the downpipe. If your hands on you'll be fine as they are simple to fettle with. Love the name btw. Grew up with 5pot Audis .

Cheers guys. Well I picked the car up Saturday and dropped it off at the mot station. Happy enough so far and the car was owned by a fellow RR although I'm not sure of his name on here. Excited and nervous but the car seems to have been well loved as I got a stack of documents with it. Does anybody know is the turbo bonnet different in any way to the standard bluebird bonnet? Some idiot ran over it in the past and although not immediately noticeable you can see it especially when the sunlight hits it.
