My wife Jo has been using this cavalier has her daily driver for about 8 years now , many of those doing bets part of 700 miles a week commuting to Kent .
Few years ago the engine expired on the motorway so 2.0 and 5 speed from an Opel Manta was fitted without the fuel injection ( I do have the injection parts and will supply to buyer if they want them) and fitted an electric fuel pump into the boot, and a weber twin choke carb .
Has mk3 astra calipers on the front .
Body wise a coupe of years ago while Jo was on maternity leave two new inner wing repair panels were fitted with a new front valance (the sports hatch front spoiler fitted at the same time) and the satin grey paint applied . Roof was painted silver with blue flake but there is a bit of rust bleeding through that.
In the time we have owned it its also had a full set of bilstein shocks and new front springs .
Interior is not bad for a car of this age , carpet has a few worn holes and the passenger seat cover has come away from the frame , possibly easy to refit but not tried .Parcel shelf and centre console have been covered in orange fur .
This car is still being used daily , but with the arrival of our second child this year we have decided to get something newer for the next year or so and it would be a shame to leave this sitting idle for that time .
Only really bad bit of body is the O/S wing its dented at the front , (hit and run in a carpark) and a rusty bit at the back . But we have a pair of NOS wings that will be available to a buyer for £150 the pair . And the O/S inner rear arch has a hole that will need attention for the next mot.
The chrome wheels in the picture do not come with the car , it will be on a set of 14" Nissan steels as Jo is attached to these.
