Not for the missiles or the gadgets, nor for its ability to do 500mph. No, I'm talking about the cars in films that make you go "oof" and then leave you pondering the implications of building something similar. Or maybe you've seen a movie car that's inspired your build? Why do I ask? Well, I was idly pondering this myself when I reached a conclusion. My perfect movie car has been, for a long time, the Chevrolet Monte Carlo from the opening scene of The Last and Dubious - Smoky Old Drift. It's prefect as far as I'm concerned. I love that it looks a bit beaten up yet packs a massive punch along with a host of mods and tweaks that are strictly business. The bead-rolled interor panels? Yum. The Cage? Beefy. The steels? Perfect choice. Plus, there's the added, dirty bonus of the fact the car isn't a particularly desirable model, yet it's still be given the works. Not only is it one of my favourite movie motors, it's also given me a lot of ideas for my next project, whenever that day comes. Anyway, here are some pictures of mine. Now show me yours (oo-err missus). Chris

THIS will always be my perfect movie car, at least in the condition at the beginning of this clip: I'd never really thought about it before, but with my more recent acquisition I'd probably have to agree (it's also easier than listing the tons and tons of awesome and obscure movie cars that I always lust after) I now really, really cringe when I see those bumpers getting ripped off and the car getting worse with each manoeuvre. I just keep thinking to myself how much I could do with most of those parts. In the condition they *were* in. Another one also appears in every episode of Bates Motel (not a film, but still on the screen). My GF is sick of me going, "I'VE GOT ONE OF THEM" everytime it appears.

What a question...!!! It might be a tad obvious but for me it has to be this... THAT Esprit, in THAT film with THOSE skis on still makes me a little bit tingly...!!!!

It'll be something else tomorrow, but right now I am mostly wanting the boattail Riviera from Death Race (2008) In fact, any car from that movie would do... But then I'd probably get the itch for something shiny... Might have to post in here again when I'm in a different mood...

When I saw the title of the thread the first thing that came to mind was Melba Toast Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some curse word' muscle.

I saw the thread title and thought to myself, I'm having the orange Merc, only to find it had already been claimed. So i'd like to put in a bid for the other Bond Esprit. I could go with the suit too.

Not really a specific car, but being a little kid and seeing this in an advert on ITV flicked a switch in my head Then watched the original, which has sort of inspired most of what I've been tinkering around with for the past 10 years

Not a car, but I always had a thing for the Peterbilt 281 from the movie Duel ^ Amen! Best cast vehicle in any film ever.
